Celebrating all that is excellent in the laundry industry, MEG Events Ltd in association with LCT launched a series of new awards, in 2015, for the laundry and dry cleaning industry titled The Laundry Dry Cleaning Awards these awards were open to all sectors within the textile care industry; individuals and companies alike.
The Laundry Dry Cleaning Awards aim to recognise companies, individuals, services and products which stand out from the crowd, those bringing a new level of customer service and professionalism to the industry and helping it face the challenges of changing society and technology head-on.
All nominees were asked to show how they met the criteria for each award through a simple series of questions.
The first awards ceremony took place 22 April, 2015, at The Royal Berkshire Conference Centre, Reading, Berkshire.

An industry golf day at the tree-lined golf course at Silvermere is available as a challenging introduction to the awards. Perhaps not the longest course, but it will be a true test for the golfers. The course is probably most renowned for the 17th and 18th holes, which are played over Silvermere Lake. Silvermere, however, really should be better known for its former use as the site where Barnes Wallis tested his famous Dambuster bouncing bomb. Prizes will be awarded for various challenges.

On October, 19 th 2018, the CINET Global Best Practices Awards 2018 were organised in Milan, Italy. CanDo Commercial Laundry Services presented a 3 minute pitch for the International Global Best Practice Awards 2018 Jury after an official selection procedure.
